Hi ,
I’m a total beginner setting up a Carbide 3D Shapeoko 4 CNC XXL. Almost all tapes on the cables that are supposed to identify them are fully white with no writings on it (I suspected it bleached with time) making it impossible for me to know which female and male cable to connect together. For the right Y-axis they do have a second label with names but they are not specific (telling me X, YR, Z, etc.) and a few are identical, so it doesn’t help me much either. Same for the cables colors trying to match female and male, most of the time they have other twins.
Also I’m having issues wth the “X/Y left transition bracket” provided for step 7. Mine has a S shape that is different from the L shape of the manual and official Carbide Youtube video. This adding angle makes it impossible to fix to the left X/Y bracket (see third pic, it’s way off than it appears). Looking at other Youtubeurs videos it seems that it might be an item from other (older) versions that are not the 4XXL… Don’t know how to move forward and would appreciate any help.
Any idea how to move forward?
Thank you
