Hi - we are looking at the option of automating a rectangular cutout that we perform in a plastic cover that measures 30’ wide by 63’ tall by 8" deep. The challenge is the 30w x 8 deep with most robotic routers on your site only being 3" deep. I wanted to ask if there was some type of extension piece for the Carbide3D Shapeoko XXL Robust CNC Router Kit that would get it to 8" above the table? Or alternatively, do you have another solution that would work for us.
That look like an industrial application from the size of it (30 feets x 63 feets).
Are those the real values / measures ?
If all of those are inches, then it makes more sense.
The support for the Z axis is not well made to be extended as it will create a lot of stress on other components and will lose a lot of strength as well as accuracy.
We can ask the manufacturer about it however, but it will most likely be not possible.
