I was wondering if the al5 would work for this application, it would need to grab a 1 inch shaft pull it out of a collet flip it over, and insert it back in untill it hits the solid stop. let go and get out of the way? the parts way about a .5 lbs. it would run injunction with the cnc program.
Doubtful. The collet id will be quite close to the diameter of the stock, and thus a very accurate positioning of the stock (and it’s orientation). The weight would also make this problematic.
