If anyone aware of a class 2 (red dot) laser range finder sensor that can be used with arduino?

Unfortunately, most if not all our LASER rangefinders are class 1.

Hello,

Does the Tfmini-s require a bi-directional logic level converter to communicate with an adruino uno? Also I had connected the sensor to the arduino without the logic level converter. Would this damage the unit by send a 5v signal to the 3.3v logic pins?

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, the communication signal must be 3.3v so you will need to use a converter.

We can’t verify if the Tfmini-s would be damaged by now but you would be able to test it once you use the converter.
