I truly loved this little one. So much so, that I decided to replicate one, and it has been a lot of fun⊠still struggling with weight constraints (still around 350g, after 14⏠in lithium batteries to shave off some 50g) and definitely struggling with the mechanics of the walk⊠J but I will get thereâŠ
My question is more about the weight. Mine still doesnât move of the same spot (probably to much weight) and after a few seconds the legs come of and the little one hits the ground (face first  LLLJJJ)
I doing mine with an Arduino Uno as a controller, and I have to use 4 AA lithium batteries for the servos, and a 9V for the Arduino. I believe you used a Nano, correct? What power supply does that take? Do you think the 9V battery is the stressor for the weight factor? Did you screw the servos do the heads? Mine are only plugged in placeâŠ
Hi Diogo, thanks for keeping Chopstic Junior alife
I am running mine with just 4x AA Eneloop for the eight servos and the Arduino Nano and never had problems with that configuration. I assume you UNO will need a bit more juice. I recommend that you run the whole thing with 5x AA batteries and no 9V additional one. You can grab 4.8V for the arduino and the full 6V for the servos.
However, it would help if you would post a robot entry with your progress, so not only me could help you with that problem but all other fellow LMRinas Good luck and I am looking forward to a new Chopstick Junior!
I am so happy that Chopstick Junior still animates people to become a robot builder. I have seen yours and I really love it, especially that slim legs.
This is a classic, Lumi! I did see chopstick junior in your blog posts, but donât know why it took me so much time to finally arrive to the robot page!
Actually no, I do not have any problems with the power. I am running the whole thing with just 4x Eneloop AA, 4.8V in total. There is no resetting the Nano nor burning by too much current draw. I do not have any protection in place, not even a capacitor to protect the Nano for sudden power drop.
I saw Chopstick robot video, it is really very good and impressive, I want to make the prototype of this robot by myself, By watching ur uploaded video and photo, i am not able to recognize component used in this robot. can u please send me the list of component which is used in this robot.
