Charging procedure for battery

What is the proper “care and feeding” for this battery pack I just bought: RB-Sta-14 12V 2800MAh rechargeable NiMh
using this charger 6V - 12V NiMH / NiCd Smart Charger
Product Code : RB-Ten-02

Is there any recommended way of keeping it charged to prolong its life? I will charge it when I first get it, and then what? Just use it till the robot that it’s powering begins losing power, then charge it up again? Or should I regularly charge it once a week or once a month or something? Thanks for your help.

Hi Dexter,

The battery pack can handle the maximum of 2A of the charger without issues.
It’s always best to store NiMh batteries fully discharged to keep their memory low.
