I have a Roomba 560 and I pulled it from the closet after being stored for a while. I put a used but still good battery from my 561 in it and it says cahrge error 2. then occasionally it will say charge error 3??? I have tried switching the chargers and power supplies but it is still the same. both batteries work in my 561 but only the original toasted battery from the 560 seems to put less error codes. Im confused, should I replace the MB or is there a simpler solution?
Please verify that the charging contacts are clean before you insert the battery. Do you hear a sond when the battery is inserted in the robot. This sound indicates that the battery is well connected. Also, have you tries plugging the charger directly into the side of the robot? Without using the docking station?
You can also try to rest the robot by doing the following:
Reset Roomba’s software by simultaneously holding down the two buttons above and below CLEAN for 10 seconds. This will clear all scheduled cleaning times and may disrupt successful docking for the first few charge cycles. Try charging Roomba again by plugging the charger directly.
How old are the batteries you are using?
