Charge 6V NiMH Battery Pack (BAT -03) with 6V 1200mAH charge

I’ve a small doubt regarding the choice of Charger for NiMH battery. I was previously using Lynxmotion Universal Smart Charger, but recently it broke and is not working. Can I use 6V 1300mAH NimH charger (lynxmotion.com/p-331-60-volt … -pack.aspx)?

Please help me.

Likely yes, though the connector on the charger is a barrel while the connector on the battery is “Tamilya”. The cost of the adapters will outweigh any savings and you may just want to consider a charger which has the right connector:

In case I’ve a Tamilya connector, can I replace the barrel connector and use the charger?
I’m just worried about the mAh rating of the battery and charger. They both are not equal. Can I charge a battery of higher mAh with a charger of lesser mAh rating?

If you have a Tamiya connector and you are comfortable with wiring and crimping (ensure you connect them the right way) then yes, you can cut of the barrel connector and replace it with the Tamiya connector.

The mAh rating won’t affect the battery?

The rating should correspond to the Maximum current which the charger can provide.
Once again, be certain of the wiring before you connect the battery (do a bit of research if needed).
Most NiMh batteries can be charged at 1C max (which in this case is 1600mA).
