Hi We left our roomba 577 off power for a few mouths and it will not work we have replaced the battery but the roomba is lifeless. Does any one know how to bring it back to life?
Thanking you Glen

@Glen You have purchased a new battery and the robot is not turning on? Have you verified if the power supply and the charging base is working? We would suggest you to verify the power supply with a voltmeter, to see if there’s voltage.

When the start button is pressed I get this message:“Move Roomba to a new location then press CLEAN to restart.” I noticed some contamination on one of the IR Cliff Sensors, I plan to get in there and clean it. Are there any other reasons for this message? Thanks.

@Ted Voeks The error can be caused by either the IR Cliff Sensors or a wheel drop sensor.

Mathieu, Thanks, Corrected the problem by Replacing the Cliff sensors / Proximity sensors. Now have another problem. Sometimes when bumping into something the 770 will just sit there and keep bumping for a while then stop and change direction, then sometimes it will act normal bump once and change direction. Appreciate your input.

@Ted Voeks We suggest you to verify the bumper sensors if they are correctly installed. Sometimes, the bumper sensors get stuck if not properly installed and won’t register the obstacle. We suggest you to remove the bumper and verify if the bumper sensors are clicking correctly.

My rumba was not keeping its charge , I replace the battery but now I have two red lights blinking is this normal

@Michele Have you tried to reset the battery? We suggest you to try the following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hj0eW4ydV78

Where can I purchase the trim that is attached to the underside of the Roomba 780 bumper

@Hedley Heale Unfortunately, we do not sell this part in our catalog. We would suggest you to try on Ebay or directly with the manufacturer.

My roomba is on the charger it flashes the orange clean label then after about five minutes it says chagering error what can I do to make it charge?

Hi, I have a 530 and hadn’t used it for a while. It will not turn on, and when attempting to charge you will hear a “click” from the speaker followed by an amber flash about 3-4 times, it will go out, then the charger light will flash, and that cycle starts over and keeps repeating. Also when charger is attached if you hold the power button down for a few seconds and release, the light will turn green for about 1/2 second then repeatedly flash red until you unplug the charger. Is this telling me my motherboard is dead?
thanks for your help!

@Sue Please press and hold the spot and dock button, for at least 30 seconds. Release the buttons and you should hear a sound. Let your Roomba charges for at least 12 hours and try it again.

@Matt Have you replaced the battery? If left unused for a long period, the battery can be damaged and it won’t be able to recharge enough for the robot. The issue you are experiencing seems to be caused by a dead battery.

Have not used 530 for a while. Put in new battery and charged for about 6 hours. The orange clean light flashes but nothing else works. Any suggestions?

@Chris When the robot is flashing orange rapidly, it means it’s in the full charge mode. Please let your robot charging for the next 24 to 48 hours and try once the light is turned green.

Roomba 595 goes in circles then stops and starts. Roomba 595 is not beeping or indicating the problem. Did all tests suggested on different sites and it did not fix it. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Good day,

When your robot starts running in circles, does it ever stop, give you a two-tone ‘uh-oh’ sound, followed by a specific number of beeps? Often times this will indicate the problem the robot is experiencing.

Sometimes the sensors can get dirty and need to be cleaned off. We suggest you try to clean up under the bumper along it’s whole length using compressed air. Also stiffly press the bumper in several times to see if that will free up any debris that may have accumulated near the sensors.

If after trying the above the problem persists, your robot most likely needs to be repaired. Please see the following link for more information on our repair service:

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks,

My roomba won’t dock. I have cleaned the contacts and the sensor towers, and it still drives up to the dock, wiggles back and forth a couple of times, then drives away. Any advice? Could this still be a contact problem that a touch of very light sanding might cure or is there something else I should consider?
