I need to replace the tires on my 2002 original Roomba. I am unable to find any information on doing so for this old model. I have searched YouTube and contacted iRobot. I am unable to completely remove the underside cover to access the wheels and put on new tires. Does anyone have any resources, links, etc. Sincere thanks.
Hi @frustrateduser and welcome to the forum.
I had a quick look online, but I was not able to find clear instructions for Roomba Original 2002, only for younger models.
Could you take some photos of the bottom of the robot?
Thank you Igor_X for your kind reply. Here are 3 pics of my 2002 Roomba. I appreciate your help.
I have been struggling trying to get these 3 pictures on, so I hope they are viewable.
Thank you for the photos.
I only managed to find this cleaning instructions for original Roomba:
Maybe you just unscrew one side of the wheel, and then change the tire from that side?

Thank you again Igor_X,
I appreciate your time.
There does not appear to be access to the wheel on the side.
The underside needs to come off.
Perhaps if I was more mechanically inclined, I could figure this out.
Again, thank you for your time.
You are welcome.
If you don’t find any instructions, I would just start unscrewing all the screws until you come to the wheel ![]()
Be sure to take photos of the screws and where they should go when you start assembling again ![]()
