Hi,
New on the forum but old in the robot hobby,
Im now working with a hexapod and would like tu use my dear Inventor to make calc. and measurements.
Autodesk Inventor do not support Solidworks files and I would apprisiate help from someone to convert the CH3-R solidwork files (found @ Lynxmotion) to STEP or Inventor files.
It would make me and maby others very thankfull.
It should not be a time consuming work, should not take more than 10 minutes…
Please someone??
Thank you vary much in advance…
Niklas
Hey, let me know if these work for you

I was unable to convert CH3-R.SLDASM this file, for some reason in Rhino the thing didn’t want to open for me.
I converted them to stp files, not sure if they converted right, let me know if you need any more files converted.

Part of the agreement we have with the robotics community is we provide the drawings to be converted into 3D formats as long as we (Lynxmotion, Inc.) are the sole source for these 3D files. If you can determine that they are good step files we would prefer to host them on the website.
Hey,
well if you want to host those files I converted, why not.
When I was saving them as step files I had the option to select 1 of the 3 conversions I think it was, anyway I selected the first option.

Not sure what to do.

** they were files I got off lynxmotion and converted, just into a different format.
Keep in mind I’ve no idea what the differences between the three options are, but it looks like the Step files we already have are of the 214 variety. That doesn’t help so much with there being two of those available, I know, sorry.
Maybe someone else knows…?
To avoid confusion and duplication of work, it’s just a good idea to have them all in the same place. That’s all…
