Catgenie Gear Motor replacement for Cartridge Pump

I am in need of a new gear motor for the cartridge pump of catgenie 120.

My unit no longer dispenses the solution during cycles. I opened up the processor unit and verified the tubing is ok and not clogged. If I manually turn the pump, solution from the cartridge is dispensed.

So it appears that the gear motor that turns / is the pump has died.

I called Petnovations to ask them if I can buy a new motor. They said that they won’t sell me one and told me to buy an entire new unit rather than replace a $3-5 motor!!!

When I asked them if they could tell me where I could buy one, they were practically gleeful in telling me that I will never find one online because you have to order these motors in the thousands, and just told me to buy a new unit.

So I’m hoping that someone here can help me find a suitable replacement. I’ve been searching around and I can’t find any sellers, just brief mentions on a couple Chinese sites.

I’m sorry to see the answer you received from the manufacturer.
I also see in the catalog that RobotShop do not sell replacement motor for the CatGenie.

If you have the diameter size of the shaft we could try to see if something would fit.

Else, I recommend you check on ebay or amazon.

Jason, I’ve had a similar convo with CatGenie regarding the centering pin the the bowl sits on. The unit is 11 years old and they want nothing to do with it. So I drew the past and had it 3D printed.
Now I have a similar issue in that the fishing pump is shot. The motor is good but the pump itself went bad.
Do you know where this pump might be available?

did you guys ever find something else that fits? We’re dealing with the same issue and of course they want you to spend $400 on a new pooprobot and won’t even sell a processing unit let alone the one motor.

So, I measure the shaft and it’s 3/16"x9/16"
