Good afternoon. I purchased the Catgenie Maintenance cartridge in Oct 2014. I’ve only used it x2 and now the Catgenie is saying it needs to be replaced, even though there is clearly enough fluid in the cartridge to do at least 2 more maintenances.
Please advise how i can get this cartridge to work.
Have you tried removing the cartridge and verifying if the contacts on the cartridge or catgenie are dirty in any way? You may want to clean them with compressed air or a clean dry cloth. It is possible that dust is preventing good contact and the Catgenie thinks the cartridge is empty.
Does the Catgenie work well with a standard Sanicolution cartridge?
The normal Sanisolutions work fine
There are no sensors or contacts on the maintenance cartridges nor on the sanisolution cartridges.
The only difference I can see is that the maintenance cartridge has a small plastic clip on it that goes into a receiver where the cartridge sits. This clip is not on the Sanisolutions.
I believe this is how the system determines whether it’s a regular solution cartridge or a maintenance.
But anyways… i did blow out the cartridge area where this clip sits… No change.
