Looking at the capability of the Carbide3D Shapeoko 3 Standard Robust CNC Router Kit. Does anyone know if this machine would be capable of engraving steel with a diamond tip bit?

Dealing with steel require a machine that has a lot of structural strength and the Shapeoko might not be a good choice.
We do not have a good solution for you regarding steel unfortunately.
