To whom this may concern,
id like to install a carputer into my vehicule to view my car’s on board diagnostics.
My vehicle is a 1998 toyota tacoma, with an engine from a 1998 toyota aristo (from japan)

  • Would the carberry/rasberry be able to communicate with the toyota Aristo ecu? JOBD japan obd?
  • Is there a specify model of raspberry pi needed for the carberry shield? if so, which one?
  • Would it be easier/simpler to use a EML obd bluetooth dongle instead of the carberry?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to take a look at the wiki to find out if this it a product for you.
It is compatible with Raspberry Pi B and Raspberry Pi 2/B+.

Attached is the compatibility list… :wink:

It all depend on what you want to do with your system. An EML adapter can give you information as well.
