I’ve got my rover assembled but for some reason I cannot get anything to happen with the motors. The motors are connected to the M1 and M2 sockets on the board as indicated in the assembly video, but nothing I do code wise seems to turn either motor on.
I’ve run the blink example and it seems to work (a green LED is blinking near the power LED) - so I’m guessing the code is being sent to the board just fine.
How might I go about troubleshooting this? I know the two motors function since when I touch the wires to the +/- pins next to the M1/M2 green connectors the motor activates. It just seems like the M1/M2 connectors just aren’t being turned on.
I’ve verified that the wires are in the screw terminals properly and that no part of the wire is touching the board.
If it helps, I tried playing around with the wires by touching them to the pins on the bottom of the board - same result - it seems like there is no voltage running to either M1 or M2. I’m using the full speed test program to test.
Attached are some pics - hopefully they are clear enough.
Can you double-check how you have the motors connected to the screw terminals? Remove the wires and open the screw terminal completely (this means lowering the internal metal frame until it hits the bottom). Then you can insert the wire and screw it so the internal frame moves up and “clamps” the wire into place. Next, check the connection between the wire and the motor terminals to see they are not contacting the board. Last, can you upload some images?
Is there any battery connected? It’s unclear on the picture. The USB in itself will not power the motors. And if there is either LiPO or AAA battery, is the battery select jumper set correctly?
