Can't get my Dagu Adventure Bot Open!

Ok I feel dumb for asking this question, but I don’t know what else to do. Just got the Dagu Adventure Bot today. Purchased some rechargeable NiMh batteries are requested. Took out the 4 retaining screws of the blue case. But … I can’t physically get the case off the thing. The head is in the way. I’ve been trying for 20 minutes to figure out what combination of rotating things will make it come off, to no avail. I’m a little afraid that the intent of this robot was “Put batteries in, then put cover on, then finish building robot” - i.e. the cover is not intended to come off once it is assembled. That your charge it via the provided plug, and that once the batteries are in they’re in there for good.

But that can’t be right, can it? What am I missing? How do I get the batteries in the silly thing?

The plastic shell is indeed difficult to remove and this has been pointed out to the manufacturer. From our experience, we were able to remove the plastic shell without removing the head, but we have not been able to put it back without removing the head. In the end, we use our robots without the shell since it is more convenient. However, we hope the manufacturer will correct this problem. we apologize for the inconvenience.
