I got the boat board II, basic atom pro 28, 6V NIMH battery, RS-232 and the RS-232 to USB convertor from your webpage. I tried everything in the troubleshooting guide. I have the right drivers, I am connecting to the right port, but when I try to connect to the processor it says “Can’t find processor”
When I power the board the PWR light stays on, and the A B and C lights blink steadily (not being plugged into the computer). When I plug the serial cable in the computer only the pwer led goes on, and it stays on, doesn’t blink or anything.
I am trying to do this on a dell studio with windows 7. I have another laptop, but it is an ASUS with Ubuntu, and I was able to install basic micro studio with wine and the drivers for the USB converter cable, but I can’t seem to get it to work there either.
:S :S
P.S. I am powering the board trought VS with the VS=VL jumper enable
I’m not sure how the auto detect works (or doesn’t) for programming, so let’s be explicit.
Under the Tools menu, you should see the a box that says “BasicATOMPro”. That’s the first box in the “Processor Toolbar”. In the next box, change the word Auto for “BAP 28” and the last box, choose “Com3”.
Once you’ve changed these settings, you should be able to use the Tools -> Program menu to compile and upload your program to the Basic ATOM Pro 28 that’s on your Bot Board V2.
