Cannot get the servo to move

I'm building the robot under the "Start Here" tab. I've connected and soldered everything and I can't get the servo to move. I'm at the part where I enter:

servo 0, 75

wait 2

servo 0, 225

wait 2

servo 0, 150

wait 2

but nothing happens. When I press F5 on the program editor it connects to the hardware and says it has downloaded successful. I can't think of any ways to troubleshoot further to isolate the problem. I've been over the instructions and soldering again and again and can't find my mistake. Any thoughts on what I can do next to find the problem? Thank you.

Darlington chip

Did you replace the darlington chip (the one that is not the Picaxe itself or the L293 motor driver chip) with the “resistor chip”?

Re: Darlington chip

Yes, here’s a picture of it:

Blobs…

I can see a considerable blob of solder on your “outside pin” (The ground pin).  Double check your soldering --make very sure you have no “bridges”  I.e. solder connecting two adjacent pins.

Also, your first picture did not come through --you did indeed replace the darlington with the “resistor chip”, no?

Re: Blobs…

Here’s a second try at that first photo. The chip that I have says

4116R LF

1-331

?BC1135

The soldering isn’t great but I checked to make sure all the blogs aren’t connected and they are not.
