Cannot find W050I Lidar scanner in software

Hi everyone,

I have an issue with a Leishen W050I Lidar scanner.

For a AGV application I wanted to use a LS-W050I. But I am running into a issue with connecting the scanner to the computer.
The scanner is powered with 24V and the LEDs are flashing correctly. When connecting the usb to the computer the port gets recognized.
The problem is that the scanner does not connect with the supplied AGV Configurator V5.0.0 Software. When connected the message “Open success” comes up, but reading, writing or detection does not work.

Am I doing something wrong that causes the software to not recognize the scanner?

Did you already contact LS Lidar support?

Yes, I bought it from RobotShop.

I am already in contact with the LS Lidar support, but the response time is pretty slow because of the time difference.
Any help on getting the Lidar to communicate with the software would be helpful.

Thank you for your reply.

We will gladly help but I doubt we will give better technical support than manufacturer itself.

In any case, if manufacturer confirms that there is a problem with the device which cannot be solved, we can do the exchange.
