Cannot connect Hexapod to computer or FlowBotics or Psv2

Please take a picture “as tested” if you really want us to help you.

Ok no problem, the robot is at the office, tomorrow I send you a picture.
Do you want any other picture you think could help?

FYI, again, we tried with the botboarduino disconnected and it didn’t connect.

A good picture of the board as you tested, from the top.
Other that that, you might want to take a print-screen of the actual “Device Manager” window which show the COM port and the LynxTerm settings that you used to make a serial connection.

Hi here are pictures of the two boards.

The SSC-32 connection cables to the BoatBoarduino have been remove, only the power supply cables are connected. I also tried to play with all the frequencies possible and on a different PC computer.
In also tried with in the past with only the SSC-32 with out the BoatBoarduino connected and same results.

There are not “frequencies” for the SSC-32 board, you might be talking about Baudrate.
According to the pictures, the jumper is set to “38 400” so that’s what you should set it at in LynxTerm. On your pictures it look to be “9600” all the times.

Hi,
It’s only coincidence that you only see 9800, like I told in the previous message we tried all different BraudRate combinations. It’s not working…
I’m pretty certain the issue is the board. Help me to start a replacement

After looking deeper to your pictures, it seems that the jumpers on the TX RX are not set.
Those jumpers are made to cut the serial commands when you use a micro-controller like the BotBoarduino.

Hi! ok I will try

After having a second look at your picture, when i followed the assembly guide, they explain to put the jumpers on different spots.

The BAUD jumper in your picture is also different. Should I also put it in the second jumper pos?

Same question for the jumpers for the VL-V5 and VS1-VS2.

Thanks

The Baud Rate use in FlowBotics is 9600 so you can set the ssc-32 to this value.
As for the VS1 = VS2 it allows for using only one power inputs for both servo Bank. And VS = VL the servo voltage to power the Logic voltage but that’s not a good idea, you will have issues so run two separate voltages.

Still nothing,
Today I got tired of this and I just ordered the SSC-32 U.

You guys are selling something that is not up to date.

DONT BUY THE SSC-32!!!

It’s the same as buying a windows 7. Yah, it’s going to work on your computer. Just change the setting. And the proxy and by pass the windows client input and reload your computer pressing Shift-b and d’or. Update and don’t follow the manual. Cause te manual is for windows 10.

Hope no one gets screwed like I did. What was an amazing gift became a hustle. I’m a programmer and my dads own a safety company and we have to send 15 emails, 6 phone calls, make 4 videos take 25 pictures …

1/5 star

The SSC-32 was discontinued many years ago (2014), so it’s certainly not available for purchase.
We are nevertheless here to support this older board, and it had worked for many many years as the core electronic component to Lynxmotion kits.
The configuration for use on its own is different when used with the BotBoarduino.
If you would still like to get the SSC-32 up and running, feel free to reply here with what it is you are trying to accomplish, and we will do our best to help.

Yes, The SSC-32 is still sold in a robot kit.

ps: i got it from robot shot canada

Not sure how that one slipped through the cracks, but you are indeed correct. Checked the kit contents and indeed it is the old SSC-32. Despite not selling the product on its own, it was kep in certain kits. We greatly apologize for the previous answer.

If this is indeed the kit you purchased, once again, we would be happy to help you troubleshoot it with the SSC-32 The wiring diagram is attached. Take special note of the jumpers. The SSC-32 on its own does not need any software configuration to be done.
