Can you tell the charge level of a lipo battery?

Is there a way to tell the charge level of the lipo battery?
Is there a specific chip that controls the charging so maybe I can check with them?

Hi,

The charging circuit is located at the left rear of the board. The “chip” is located in front of the text U10. The charging circuit can be seen towards the center right of the DFRobotShop Rover schematic. The chip is the MAX1555.
