Developers often run perception, mapping or decision‑making algorithms on an off‑board computer or cloud server and then send motion commands to the robot via the Unitree API. Depending on the model and region, robots can connect via Wi‑Fi, Ethernet or optional 5 G modules, and some EDU kits include a secondary computer for edge computing.
However, there is no plug‑and‑play link to any particular AI provider. Integrating external AI requires programming and careful attention to latency, safety and data privacy. Consumer versions without a development kit do not support such integrations out of the box.
