Can Unitree Go2 charge itself autonomously?

Standard Go2 Air and Go2 Pro models ship with an external charger and require you to remove or swap the battery; they do not have a built‑in self‑docking capability. Unitree has an optional wireless charging station for the Go2 EDU versions that adds an inductive charging coil. To use it, you need to order the EDU version with the required LiDAR sensor (MID360 or XT16) and develop the navigation and docking routines yourself. As of 2025, Unitree has not released official code for autonomous self‑charging. Without custom development, the robot must be manually placed on the charger or have its battery swapped.
