the rated current is 11A @24v and stall is 60A @24v.
now the wires that these come with are AWG#18. i have driver rated for 60A with current limiting available. but why would i limit down so much whats the point of getting these motors then.
can these wires handle the current?
can i replace those wires?
what wire should i replace it with?
any additional tips guidance would be highly appreciated.
For AWG#18, amperage capacity is 10A, 14A, 16A at temperatures 60 °C, 75 °C, 90 °C, so it makes sense to choose this wire for motor with rated current 11A.
If you want to replace these wires you would need to open the housing of the motor and re-solder the wires.
Your driver is rated for 60A, but you should not run this motor at stall current which is 60A for a long because it will burn the motor.
