Can Hexbug VEX IQ Robotics Construction Kit (RB-Hex-59) be used in an official VEX IQ Competition?

Greetings,

I’m a parent volunteer who is coaching a few middle school students for 2 VEX IQ Robotic Teams at a local Middle School. We currently have two VEX IQ Super Kits and have competed in VEX IQ Competitions in the past. We would like to purchase a few more Super Kits but you seem to be out of stock. I noticed that you sell a Hexbug VEX IQ Robotics Construction Kit (RB-Hex-59) on your website and would like to know if this is something that we can legally use in an official VEX IQ Competition.

Are there any differences in the parts, motors, sensors, brain module, or battery that you provided in the Hexbug VEX IQ Robotics Construction Kit (RB-Hex-59) compared to the VEX IQ Super Kit RB-Inn-331or the VEX IQ Starter Kit with Controller] RB-Inn-332?

Are there any restrictions on programming the Hexbug VEX IQ Robotics Construction Kit (RB-Hex-59) which are not restricted when using the VEX IQ Super Kit RB-Inn-331or the VEX IQ Starter Kit with Controller] RB-Inn-332?

Hi @MarcPaloma

We would suggest you to contact the officials of the VEX IQ robotic teams, as some products could be banned from competition. They will be able to clear that for you.

They are all parts that can be found in the VEX IQ series and is compatible with the VEX IQ Super Kit and Construction Kit.
