Can anyone help me remote conrtol a real car? * charity use

have just stumbled across this forum after hunting so long for advice on how to do this.

Ive bought a 1963 vw bug, which has all the herbie stuff all over it. The bug is fine, but I want this one to do charity events and help in the school where I work. Im looking to radio control a load of features, like the herbie in the movies.

Id like the smallest remote possible, so to be discreet to confuse the kids

so id need a

remote

receiver

linear actuators, quite quick, possibly around 6 inches long

and some way of letting the small voltage in the receiver into the bigger voltage for the items. Does this work through relays with diodes to prevent bigger voltage wrecking the receiver unit?

ID like to make:

headlights flash

bumpers tilt (I can hinge them- was thinking linear actuator)

headlights look left and right, some sort of controlled motor/joystick

bonnet rise/fall

horn go off

squirt water

suspension rise and fall ( I have compressor and air shocks, and air solenoids)

can anyone help me out?

Hi buggyboyshane,

This is rather dangerous and we would not recommend going forward with such a remote controlled car.
Making some noise, lights or similar things would be correct but not controlling the car itself.

You need a lot of different stuff and need to figure them out prior to do anything.
Once you know what to control and how to achieve it, we might be able to help out finding parts.

All the best,
