I’ve recently purchased color serial jpeg camera module with infrared-rs232 from robotshop. I’m was interested to know if I needed to install any drivers. If so, I was wondering if there was a recommendation for the operating system; I was looking to use either android, Widows CE, Windows 7, or Linux.

I am building a device with the camera from the ground up. I would just like to know if a driver is needed, and if so, what operating systems is it available for?
Can you provide the product code or link to the product? All the information we have would be within the product description and associated tabs, but we’ll be happy to take a look just in case. Usually when you install drivers for a product, it’s because it would be connected to a computer via USB.
The camera will need a serial interface to connect to a computer. If your computer has a serial port readily available, the drivers should be included as well. It is more likely though that you will need a USB-to-Serial adapter, in which case the most commons drivers can be found here:

Also the drivers are available for all major OSs.
