I am having problems calibrating the accelerometer and magnetometer prior to my first flight. I read the instructions. Repeatedly. I have the lynxmotion H500 with quadrino nano. I have completed the ESC calibration using the FCT and a Spektrum Dxe with AR610 receiver. I have flashed after the ESC cal using the FCT for those operations. Using WinGUI, the nano connects. Calibrating accelerometer does not initially lead to level view on the flight deck screen. Tried to calibrate accelerometer multiple times, then WinGUI locked up. Unplugged from USB then plugged in again, connected and flight deck showed level from accelerometer. Then attempted to calibrate mag, which is bouncing everywhere. With nano attached to craft, tried 3-axis rotation first, then 6 by reversing the direction of the first 3: Pitch down, roll right, yaw CW, then Pitch up, roll left, yaw CCW. Mag still all over the place. Tried 6 axis as described but with nano in my hand. Mag still all over the place. Started 3rd cal and the WinGUI locked up. Grr… So I unplugged, replugged, connected, tried again and same result-the WinGUI locked up. This is approaching the definition of insanity: Repeat the process with the expectation of a different result and the same thing happens. Checked wiring. Everything SAT. Accelerometer after multiple cal attempts does eventually level out but the mag is bouncing wildly. What gives? How can I determine if gyro is bonkers? I have ordered a new nano already just in case this isn’t a procedure issue. Any guidance is helpful.
I’m now getting a popup message that the USB device I connected has malfunctioned and windows doesn’t recognize it.

It’s a bit hard to understand but you have issues regarding the calibration of your Quadrino Nano sensors right ?
If you didn’t already know, we created a Lynxmotion Quadrino Nano - Sensor Calibration blog post to help peoples.
One thing to look at would be the USB connector on the Quadrino Nano.
Make sure it’s soldered and not moving, maybe the solder point broke and you have random connection from it now.
