Hi guys,
I have tried to follow the instructions regarding calibrating the current sensors of the Wild Thumper Controller, but I would like some clarification.
I have a new 75:1 Dagu Wild Thumper 6WD with a Dagu Controller (kit with RC gear etc from Robosavvy). I have soldered the fuses, uploaded the Arduino diagnostic program, connected a 10A multimeter with a 7W/10ohm resistor, using a 7.4V 5000mAh zippy battery. I am seeing 0.79A (+/-) on the multimeter rather than the 940mA as per the instructions (as I am not using a 5W resistor).
So, do I turn VR1 until the serial output shows 47, as 47x16.8mA = 790mA and this means I get a better resolution that the 20mA example, or do I adjust VR1 to be 39.5 (say 40) because 40x20mA=800mA ???
Is the 20mA resolution constant? or is the 47 multiplier?
serial output example: Battery Voltage:555 Left motor current:47 Right motor current:0
Many thanks
