I am looking for a solution to open and close a (horizontal rail-based) cabinet drawer. More specifically the drawer needs to be opened to certain fixed positions.
It has to be automated/motorized, 12V or 24V DC, settings to open drawer to various lengths (e.g. open 10cm or 15,2cm or 20,7cm, …).

Hi Selassi,
To select an actuator (linear actuator in this case) you need to know the torque and displacement required.
Those will help choose the actuator that will fit.
The type of control is also important, most actuators will have limit switches at the end of travel which can stop the actuator.
If you want the actuator to stop in it’s travel, you might have to choose one with an position feedback and monitor this position in a controller.
