The project consists of building a robot that is programmed to pick up one thread of string at a time that is bunched up together. The robot or robot arms must be able to see through a microscopic lens and its arms must essentially be the size of needles with little grasping hooks or tongs on them. The robot must be able to find a single thread and pick it up within half a second. Is this something you guys can create? It must be able to pick up a single thread at a time and be able to find it and pick it up even if the threads are moving. So be able to focus on picking up one thread in half a second at a time. the thread is 0.06 diameter.
Hello @nunnoagnese, and welcome to the forum!
Your interesting topic caught my attention, so I am trying to image how your robot could look like!
So, I’ve found this video:
Is this something you looking for? Something similar to these surgeon robots with needle arms and microscopic cameras?
This sounds like a serious project! Hope to see it in Robots section!
Thank you for your reply, much appreciated! Im new here and still learning the ropes, how would I post this in the Robots section?
