Building a Real Robots Cybot, need help identifying unknown part

Hello Roboteers

I’m currently building an Ultimate Real Robots magazine Cybot from circa 2002, and wondered if anyone might be able to help identify a part.

It’s a small circuit board which came with #59 with a 4 pin plug and connector, and has “8V POWER” printed on it. This was after the battery box upgrade and new power connector board in #53, so perhaps it was to fix some sort of hardware problem with that. But maybe it’s meant to plug into the motor driver board - I don’t know - because there are no instructions for this part or references to it anywhere in the magazines.

Does anyone remember what this part does and where it goes? If you have a copy of the original instructions for it, that would be even better.

Many thanks

Cybob

Hey @Cybob!

I can’t seem to open your photo link, could you try again?

Hi Cybob,

I have a fully built bot with remote and spares, if you are keen, let me know
