Building a bomb squad robot

Hi,

I am a 7th grade student and want to build a bomb-squad robot for my science project. Is there an affordable way to do this? I was thinking of a wheel/track robot with a camera (maybe borrowing my Dad’s gopro camera) and if possible, an arm to “disarm” a bomb. It also needs to have a remote control (with a video so I can see where the robot is going) What is the cheapest way I can do this? What parts do you recommend I buy?

Ideally the GoPro has built-in WiFi allowing you to see the image on the computer.
You then need to have some way to move it around (two motors and two wheels, or two motors and two tracks).
As for the arm, you need one motor for the gripper, and perhaps another to tilt it up and down.
Take a look at the following guide to help you get started:

Although it’s a toy, it has all the essentials of being used for bomb disposal:

You would essentially design something similar, but custom.
Do you have an idea of how much you can spend?
