BRAT falls almost every time he kicks or headbutts

Do a proper servo calibration and it should act better. Can you show a video of the problem?

Whenever it kicks, it looks like it kind of leans back a little too much, and whenever it headbutts, it falls foward. im not sure if itsbecause of the sudden shift in weight, or offset-finding errors. i know how to find the offsets, i just have a hard time fine tuning them. this is my first robot, so things like offsets are kind of new to me.

Offsets are your friend… Don’t be a feared! They separate the newbs from the professionals.

It’s strange that it falls forward. The Brat can bow completely forward without ever falling over, unless the legs are positioned weird. Can you post a video?

You can see just how stable it is in this video:

unfortunately, i dont have the equipment i need to post videos :frowning: , but i am certain that it is related to offsets. i read the BRAT tutorial, which said to make sure that the robots hips were exactly 90 degrees. I used the BASIC atom pro BRAT servo offset finder program, but i need hints from the robot that i found the PRECISE offset adjustments

I AM MORE CONFUSED THAN EVER!!!
