Brain Controlled Tri-Track

Hi All!

As part of my MEng group project at Loughborough University last year, we were using a Lynxmotion Tri-Track and AL5A Arm. Initially we had it controlled by a joystick but part of the assessment was that we had to demonstrate innovation, so I suggested to the group we use a consumer Brain-Computer Interface to develop it into a basic neuro-robotics platform.

I’ve written a blog post about it and added a couple of Youtube videos, hopefully someone here finds it interesting

If you can figure out a way to control the AL5 arm above the Tri-Track with the Mindwave, you may have a commercial product on your hands for the disabled. Add a sensor to the gripper to detect when to grasp an object.
