I just purchased the Braccio robotic arm from Arduino, however, I can’t figure out which app is the right one to download on my phone to control it by Wifi. Also, do you have to buy an extra piece to make it Bluetooth, or is it automatically set up to be used Wifi. Thank you in advance.
The Arduino Braccio Robotic Arm comes with the servo controller shield and doesn’t include an Arduino Microcontroller Board.
Some of the compatible Arduino boards are :
]Arduino UNO/:m]
]Arduino Due/:m]
]Arduino Mega 2560/:m]
]Arduino Leonardo/:m]If you have an Arduino Wifi Board/Module, you can probably find an Arduino Wifi control app online. For example, the Wifi Bot Control.
To control the Braccio with Bluetooth, you will need a Bluetooth Module. For example, you can use the HC-06 Bluetooth Module.
Again, there are a lot of apps that you can find online using HC-06 Bluetooth modules. Here is an example.
Do you know what kind of wires we need to connect the products you suggested together? I ordered a Leonardo board and an HC-06 Bluetooth module. I’m an amateur at this, so I don’t really know what I’m doing. I don’t know how to hook everything up. Thanks.
You can use F/M Jumper Wires as these Jumper Wires 7.8" M/F (10pk)
Here is a tutorial to show you how to interface the HC-06 and Arduino Leonardo.
