Hi!

Please could you tell me the maximum reach of the Braccio robot arm with the gripper vertical

Fully assembled Braccio Kit:

  • Weight: 792 g
  • Maximum operating distance range: 80 cm
  • Maximum Height : 52 cm
  • Base Width: 14 cm
  • Gripper Width: 90 mm
  • Cable length: 40 cm
  • Load Capacity: Maximum weight at 32 cm operating distance: 150 g, Maximum weight at the minimal Braccio configuration: 400g

With respect, I did check it, but it does not answer my question: please could you tell me the maximum reach of the Braccio robot arm with the gripper vertical. Also how can the maximum operating distance exceed the maximum height?

Hello @rpd,

This would be 52cm as indicated in the specifications.

The maximum reach can’t be 80cm, if you looked at it in any video, it’s so much smaller than 80cm.

The manufacturer probably meant the total range like the whole diameter not just the radius.

Look like the answer to my question is around 27 cm

According to your question, you needed the maximum height that the gripper can reach vertically which is supposed to be 52cm.

Well, it’s not mentioned but from this video you can estimate it to be around 35cm from the center of the robot.
