BotVac 80 Side Brush

Hi,

Several times when the vac has finished cleaning, I’ve found the side brush in the middle of the floor. There are no obstructions or other objects near where the brush was. I notice that it is only held in place with a small magnet - do you have any suggestions for keeping it in place more securely?

Thanks!

Do you have any floor transitions that could cause the side brush to get stuck on and edge and detach? Floor transitions or obstacles are usually what causes issues with the side brush.

It is also possible that the brush guard is not clicked in properly and that side brush is not entirely in it’s place.

We suggest that you watch the robot during a cleaning cycle to see if there is a place in particular that causes this issue in order to correct the robots environment.

Thanks, Julie,

There were no transitions in the most recent occurrence. The previous time, there were both hard floors and an area rug. I’ve checked and the brush is firmly in place (held with a magnet but no detent).

We have not seen this issue before. In this case, it is possible that the magnet in the brush is not powerful enough and may be defective. We suggest that you have it replaced under warranty if your robot is still under warranty. If purchased with us, please contact us via our support center. We will go ahead and take care of you.
