Botvac 80 having major issues

I’ve had a trusty Botvac 80 for about 16 months, but unfortunately its’s been acting up lately.

It’s always saying it needs a charge even though it’ll have been charging for hours. Then, at times, it will tell me to flip the power switch down to “on” even though the switch is already in the on position. Sometimes it will work just fine, but normally after not using it for a week or two. At that point, it will clean once, maybe twice, then start acting up saying it needs me to flip the on switch or that it needs to charge.

Is this just a battery issue? or is there more at work here?

If the robot is saying you need to flip the power switch to on, when it’s already on, the problem is caused by the battery. If you have not replaced the battery since the purchase of this robot, we suggest you to replace the battery and it should fix the problem you are having, as the problem is caused by a low-capacity battery. Usually, we suggest our customers to replace the battery after a year, which is the suggested time according to the manufacturer.
