Bottom brushes stops on my carpet

Hi,

I have a problem with my discovery. When it arrives on a carpet, the bottom brushes stops.
I have change the engine the problem still occur.

What can I do?

Welcome to the RobotShop Forum.

The brushes stopping on carpet usually is due to a problem with the motor. If you’ve changed it and the problem persists, you might want to check that the motor tension cord is properly installed. It’s the cord that is attached the the motor and fastens to the frame with a screw in the center of the robot right next to the motherboard.

You could also check the brush casing gears and the gears inside the motor’s gearbox. Sometimes they can get dirty and create additional resistance that, when added to the carpet, can stall the motor.
