Hi, I am building a robot for a major school project and I need a microcontroller compatible with the Bot Board II from Lynxmotion, but the BasicATOM and BA Pro are a bit too pricey for me. I am a total beginner when it comes to programming. I need a 24 or 28 pin BS2-like micro that is powerful enough to control a robot consisting of a 6DOF arm on a 2DOF mobile chassis while compatible with the BBII and preferably priced under $40. I have seen the PICAXE and BasicATOM Nano micros for a good price and have heard good reviews, but I don’t know if they would work for me or not. HELP!
Hello rifflegirl93 and welcome to the RobotShop forum!
The least expensive module that is compatible with the Bot Board II is the BasicATOM2-M. Unfortunately, the Nano does not have the appropriate form factor to fin in the Bot Board.
