Bonnet removed error in app

Hi!

I require your help regarding a problem I’m encountering. We bought the Litter Robot 3 a couple weeks ago and ever since we receive “bonnet has been removed” notifications on our phones without even moving it. The Robot cycles like it should. My only problem is this notification error.
Can you help me please?

Which app are you using?

we use the Litter Robot app.
The robot started interrupting while cycling yesterday but without doing anything it finished the process.

Did you notice slowly blinking yellow light on the robot while interrupting?

Yes. And the robot started smelling bad again since yesterday. We clean the whole thing once a week and put new litter in. Once a day we clean the garrbagebin. It should smell :confused: so we jumped from one issue to the other.

Please test if the night light is interrupting your cycle. Cover the light sensor which is located under the power button. If the night light turns on and the cycle is interrupted, then your bonnet needs to be replaced.

It is possible that the night-light is not even working, in this case, please remove the power from the robot and unclip the bonnet. Inside the bonnet you will see 2 wires connected to a small circuit. Make sure the wires are well connected to the circuit.

If that is working fine, then the problem is probably with the connection between the base and the bonnet. Have a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyUuSGSgn1A&t

Also, there are two connection metal pins between base and bonnet. Some customers use WD-40 to clean them to make better contact.

Okay, so I tried everything like you told me to, but still the same issue. Tried to send two videos they are too big though.
Is it possible to replace the bonnet because the interrupting cycle is more often.

If we determine that bonnet is defective, we can send you new one.

If videos are too big, try putting them somewhere online (like on YouTube) and send us the links. Or at least send some photos so we can be sure that bonnet is mounted properly.

One more thing you could try. Try flexing bonnet tabs like in this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHwV1blZKZE , to make better connection between base and bonnet.
