BNC pH Shield

Hi everyone,

My first post here, hoping someone can help out an old guy from the vacuum tube era.

So what is the actual output of the stand alone BNC pH Shield module from Practical Maker? Does it output 0-5volts that I can wire directly to any PLC that has 0-5v analog input? Or, does the module output some raw data that will need the arduino to translate to the 0-5v?

I already have a PLC running my reef aquarium and would like to use the shield to transmit pH data to PLC, but don’t want to add an arduino to the mix.

Any advise or recommendations? (other than switching from PLC to arduino)

Thanks.

Sounds great, thanks Carlos.

RB-Pra-06 will generate an analogue 0-5V signal indeed. You can use the Arduino or any other device with analogue inputs to read the value and interpret it. This shield should indeed suit the needs you describe.
