I am going to be adding Bluetooth to W.A.L.T.E.R. as soon as I receive the Bluetooth DIP module and antenna I ordered from Spark Fun Electronics. This is a Class 1 Bluetooth module with a range of about 100 meters.
My plan at present is to connect the module to the HSERIAL port on the Basic ATOM and change all my debug serout commands to go through Bluetooth, and I already have a Class 1 LinkSys Bluetooth dongle for my PC. It works great with Linux! 
Using this method, I should be able to use a TeraTerm to capture all the output from W.A.L.T.E.R. while he is roaming around. so I can analyze it after each run.
