Lynxmotion AL5D will not connect when blue tooth is on. If the blue tooth is not on, the computer will find the robot arm but still will not control it. What should I be looking for? I have 12 of the lynxmotion arms and this is the only one that I can not get to connect.
Thanks
Hi,
First, we should start by identifying the issue. Here are a few steps for you to follow. If you encounter any issues during any of them, please stop and let us know what happen.
]With the robotic arm powered (6 V DC to VS1 of SSC-32U/SSC-32 [and 9 V on VL if SSC-32]), please check the baud rate settings:
For SSC-32U, simply press the BAUD button once. The LED A/B should blink for a few seconds, indicating the baud rate (see the SSC-32U manual, page 34 for details).
For SSC-32, check the jumpers for BAUD rate setting. Fourth row of the graphs found here has examples of each baud rate./:m]
]Make sure the baud rate in the software (FlowArm PLTW) matches the one on the SSC-32U/SSC-32 (with Bluetooth icon not active/off). If your FlowArm PLTW application does not have a baud rate dropdown in the bottom right corner, make sure you are running the latest version (available for free here)./:m]
]If it works, you are done! If this does not work, please download and install our free diagnostic utility, Lynxterm. You can obtain it here./:m]
]Close FlowArm PLTW (and any other application that may use the AL5D’s COM port) and start Lynxterm./:m]
]Click Setup and choose the right COM port and baud rate. The other settings should be fine as-is. Click OK./:m]
]Click Connect and then proceed to type VER in the black text box followed by the [return] key. The SSC-32U/SSC-32 should respond with its firmware version. Please post this in your reply./:m]
Let us know how this goes.
Sincerely,
