Blue light flashing after cycling

Hi Ebram,

I have checked the cat sensor and although all the connections looked fine there’s seems to be an issue with the sensor. Because i am unsure whether what i am seeing is normal or not I have taken some photos and made some videos. Hopefully these can show what I mean.

Hi Ebram,

Despite my last email the robot is working well now. Let’s see how it goes.
Thanks for all your help and advice.

Regards,

Humberto

Hello @humberto,

Thank you for your reply.

Is the robot still working till now?

If yes, then there might have been an issue with one of the connectors or the robot was touching something by mistake.

Feel free to contact us again if you have further issues.

Sincerely,

Hi Ebram,

Thank you for your email. The robot is still working fine. The connection of the cat sensor on the main circuit board was loose. As soon as I noticed it and fix it, the problem was sorted.

Hello Ebram!

I have another issue with the robot litter. Now the yellow light is constantly flashing and the robot is not working.

What should I do?

Thank you for your time.

Regards

Humberto

Hello @humberto ,

Welcome back to RobotShop community.

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Litter-Robot.

Please answer the following questions:

1- Does the yellow light blink slowly or fast?
2- Was the globe stuck upside down when it happened?
3- Does the blue light blink slowly if you press the “Reset” button?

Awaiting your reply.

Hello Ebram,

Thank you for your reply. The yellow light blinks fast. Do not know exactly the details when it happened. Despite pressing the reset button, nothing happens, meaning that the yellow light keeps blinking fast.

Humberto

Hello @humberto ,

Thank you for your reply.

This issue could be coming from 3 parts:

1- The contact pins.

We will need to see the 3 pairs of contact pins shown in the following videos:
Anti-Pinch Pins:

Bonnet’s Pin:

Base’s Pin:

No need to take them out of the robot, we only need to see them from the outside.

2- Magnets inside the globe.

Please test the magnets by putting any metallic object on these two areas circled in red and check if the magnets would attract the object or not:
Globe Magnet 01
Globe Magnet 02

3- Misplaced or defective hall-effect sensor:

If the magnets are okay then the issue is coming from the hall-effect sensor and it needs to be replaced.

We have attached a guide to show you how to replace this sensor:

I changed the pins recently because of the problem the robot had previously, but I’ll check them again.

Hello @humberto ,

Thank you for your reply.

You can send us pictures of the 3 sets of pins so we can confirm with you if they need to be replaced again or not.

You will also need to check the magnets as we mentioned above.

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,
