Blue light blinks constantly - Litter Robot 3 Connect

The blue light keeps blinking. I have tried the extended troubleshooting and no change. When I click on “reset”, a yellow light starts blinking fast, and only stops when I click on reset again. All the other buttons are unresponsive except the On button. The dim blue light is on, everything is clean.

I have come to the conclusion that the issue comes from the DFI sensors.

I purchased the litter robot on May 6th 2021 so it should be under warranty.

Help, please!

Hello @Maria80 ,

Welcome to RobotShop community.

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Litter-Robot.

Please provide us with your order number or a copy of the invoice.

Have you tried to clean the 2 green circuit boards of the DFI sensor with a Q-Tip and alcohol to remove any rust from the small components located on them?

You will also need to clean the Anti-Pinch pins with WD-40 and sandpaper.

Here’s a video to show you how to locate these parts:

Let us know how it goes.

Sincerely,

Dear Ebram,

My husband has tried everything you suggested and the blue light is still blinking. The cycle and empty buttons are unresponsive, and the reset button makes a yellow light blink very fast. It only stops when I click on reset again.

Our robot is only 2 months old and used by just one cat :frowning:

What else can we do?

Best,

Maria

Hello @Maria80 ,

Thank you for your reply.

Please remove the waste bag from the waste drawer and let the robot reset then cycle and let us know if the issue remains or not.

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

Dear Ebram,

I have already tried this, the robot is unresponsive when I remove the bag, nothing happens. It doesn’t reset. When I click on reset manually a yellow light starts blinking fast.

Best,

Maria

Hello @Maria80 ,

Thank you for your reply.

In this case, the DFI sensor has gone defective and needs to be replaced.

Since your robot is less than 90days old, we will exchange the whole base with a new one.

Please provide us with your shipping address and the serial number located on the back of the base.

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

Thank you, Ebram. Is there a private way I can provide that info to you?

Hello @Maria80 ,

Thank you for your reply.

We have received your shipping information and will proceed with the exchange.

We will forward you now to our replacement department to carry on with the process.

You will be contacted shortly via email with further instructions.

Have a lovely evening, stay safe.

Sincerely,
