I need help with my litter robot 3 please.
The blue light is blinking although the waste drawer is empty. The other buttons do not react to pushing except the on/of one.
I cleaned the sensors and all robot is clean.
This looks like rather guessing and replacing all that can be replaced to get it working again. All those contacts are like new on the robot, no any bit of rust on them, why to replace them?
It all started with the robot not doing the clean cycle properly: when it reached the point where the waste was dropped and was supposed to turn back it went forward again and after a hump it stoped. Why would it do that?
It’s recommended to replace the pins every 6-12 months depending on their state so we usually recommend replacing them or at least having them at home to avoid having to pay shipping again for such small parts.
The error that you have described is called Anti-Pinch fault and it’s related to the Anti-Pinch pins.
As for the blue blinking light, it’s related to the DFI sensor.
I still have a problem: the DFI in my litter robot 3 is longer and different than the one received with my order. Because of that it won’t be possible to replace them
Can you please advise if it is a wrong part I received? Please see the picture of my robot’s DFI.
The DFI sensor that you have received is the new version and it looks different but it has the exact plastic brackets so you can easily install them the same way as the older sensor:
