Blinking Issues with Nextion 7inch Basic HMI Display

Hi Everyone,

I am currently using the Nextion 7in. Basic HMI LCD Touch Display (Manufacture Number: IM150416007, Price: $146.94 CAD) for a project at work. I am having some issues with trying to receive data with this screen. Firstly, when I send the data through the SD card and attach the power supply pins (5V), it worked fine. However, when I attach the Arduino Rx/Tx pins (that send and receive data from the arduino), the screen starts to blink and a booting cycle starts when I click something on the screen. I am not sure what is wrong. Can someone tell me something I did wrong, or is the screen defective?

It sounds like a wiring or power issue. Check that your Tx and Rx pins are connected correctly and that the baud rates match between the Arduino and Nextion. Ensure your power supply is stable and sufficient. If these don’t resolve the issue, the display might be defective.
